Guardian Malaysia appoints new CEO

Health and beauty chain Guardian Malaysia has announced the appointment of Soren Lauridsen as its new chief executive officer, effective as of 1 May. He replaces Peter J Dove, who has retired from the industry.

Screen Shot 2017-05-04 at 10.12.25Lauridsen was previously with the AJE Group, manufacturer and distributor of BIG Cola, Sporade, Pulp, Cool Tea and other beverages. In a statement released by Guardian, it doted Lauridsen expansive career with retail brands.

“Joining us from the AJE Group where he was the regional director of Asia and managing director of Thailand, his vast experience in Southeast Asia and in-depth knowledge in consumer related businesses will prove to be a valuable asset to Guardian Malaysia.”

Born in Denmark, Lauridsen has been a part of senior management with FMCG companies such as Unilever Food and Carlsberg Breweries.

Guardian Malaysia is the largest health and beauty chain in the country.
