Clasp thine palms against thou bosom and whisper sweet, sweet ecstasy to my heed.
Writes Kentucky Fried Chicken.
In another unusual marketing venture by the beloved fried chicken chain, KFC has released a romance novel, titled Tender Wings of Desire, featuring the colonel himself in his signature suit, tailored as a singlet, carrying a modern damsel absolutely taken by the wispy white haired veteran and a drumstick.
The 96-page novel is available in electronic format on Amazon.com for free, and tells the story of Lady Madeline Parker of Victorian England and her romantic dilemma. The novel is one part of a Mother’s Day campaign for KFC USD20 fill-up. According to KFC, Mother’s Day is one of their best selling holidays, seeing a 40 per cent increase in sales on the day.
“The only thing better than being swept away by the deliciousness of our Extra Chrispy Chicken is being swept away by Harland Sanders himself,” said director of advertising, KFC (US), George Felix. “So this Mother’s Day, the bucket of chicken I get for my wife will come with a side of steamy romance novella. Dinner is taken care of, and she’ll have the time to escape her busy schedule.”
Not for nothing, check out them biceps on the colonel.
